Wildlife needs our help meeting the challenges of stresses on the environment more than ever before. Every day we treat birds who are struggling to overcome injuries from fishing lines and hooks, oil and other pollutants like plastics, starvation, and new diseases. You can help us help them by donating your art and photographs to IBRRC for our upcoming Art Auction.

Last year’s event was covered by the local press and attended by hundreds of bird lovers who bid on 50 pieces of original art and photographs, raising almost $5,000. This money goes directly to help birds in need. 365 days a year, our professionally trained wildlife rehabilitation staff provides the best achievable care at our state-of the art facility in San Pedro. IBRRC’s philosophy is that every life is important, and especially so for the many threatened and endangered species we successfully rehabilitate and return to the wild. See story about Slash.

Help us give birds in need a second chance at life by donating your artwork to our Auction. IBRRC is a 501 c3 non profit organization and your donation is tax deductible. We are looking for wildlife or nature paintings, photos, carvings, sculpture, collectables and sculptures for the silent auction. This year we will also be raising money through the sale of t-shirts, hats, framed photographs from our archives and donated items like calendars, cards, jewelry – anything with a wildlife theme and especially water birds.

Artists wishing to donate should call January Bill at IBRRC’s Headquarters in Fairfield, 707-207-0380 ext. 109. Donated works should be signed, include a bio and approximate retail value, or information regarding the art that will help assess its value. You can download a form to submit with your donation.

Help us make this year’s Silent Art Auction and benefit even bigger and better. Once again, we will have live music by Stucco Rainbow, refreshments, and behind the scenes tours of the center. Please feel free to forward this Call for Art to other artists.

Thank you for considering IBRRC and our special friends, California’s wild birds, as recipients of your art, a special refection of your love of wildlife.
